- Where was this picture taken?
- What's the 'thing' in the foreground?
Update:
Here is a hint to make subsequent guesses more fun. This is not a polygonal quiz but a geography quiz after all. I took the photo below at .. you know where. Too bad this is not the quiz or everybody will get the correct answer.

The round building looks like the Treasury Building at Shenton Way.
I think the object in the foreground is the rear of an ERP gantry. But the colour doesn't seem right?? Anyway, I like the blue sky.
The object looks like the overhead padestrian bridge at Shenton Way; you know the one near DBS building. But the buildings would have looked much nearer.
I think it is an understatement to say that this quiz is not difficult. I have no answers but I know the round building isn't Treasury Building but the Swissotel The Stamford.
I've updated the post. Have fun!
I think I've found it. Hehe.
Round building is hotel formerly known as Westin. The other tower is Raffles City Tower. The striped thing in the foreground is part of a roof.
Horseman, you are right on the background and foreground part. I'm thinking you know the answer like Victor.
so long as it is googleable, it is not difficult for victor. of course, you must know what to look for first.
I am guessing Capitol Centre or Peninsula Plaza.. looks like the roof of either building.
From CC or PP, Swissotel and its neighbor should be nearer (bigger).
YG, knowing what to google is the difficult part. If you don't have any idea what to look for, how to google? Search for "brown facade"? Still must do some research like triangulation, etc.
icemoon, you're sick!
from the photo, i was trying to visualize the 3D spacing (sorry, i don't know how to better describe it) of swissotel. man, i wouldn't have known the answer if not for victor.
horseman! how are you doing! :D
Ahh, I hope you guys like this 3D spacing - triangulation quiz. :)
Oh dear .. why did baoying delete her comment? :(
So sorry cos the link was to a private blog.. haha..so I took out.. haha. anyway I ever went to back of national Museum to took photos too.. kekeke
hey bao ying, so nice of you to have found this blog. if you answered this two months ago, you would have gotten it correct. check out the answer.
I read you explored Haji lane, but can't find the pictures. :)
I jus went Haji lane recently to take photo. Went there for a few times and like it a lot. I also enjoy exploring Singapore by taking shots of unique buildings and scene but not into research of history yet due to time constraint. It interesting I should say.
